What subjects do you tutor?
David’s core specialties are AP Calculus AB/BC and Integrated Mathematics. He also offers SAT prep tutoring and can help with other high school mathematics, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, and advanced coursework.
Where do sessions take place?
During the busiest weekday hours—Monday through Thursday, roughly 2:00–8:30 p.m.—sessions are primarily held near Davis Senior High School. In-home tutoring can often be arranged at other times.
Do you offer online tutoring?
Yes, occasionally. In-person tutoring is the main format, but online sessions can be useful when schedules, travel, or other circumstances make them the better option.

Can you help a student who is very anxious about math?
Yes. David has substantial experience with students who have high math anxiety. His style is patient, kind, and focused on making intimidating problems feel approachable.
What if my student is already very strong in math?
That is also a good fit. David’s deep understanding of mathematics and high level of mathematical competency allow him to support even the highest-achieving students. He can help strong students go beyond procedures into deeper concepts, more efficient and elegant reasoning, challenging problems, and preparation for advanced coursework.
Do you work with students who have special needs?
Yes. David has experience tutoring students with special needs, including working with students’ ILPs, and adapting pacing and explanation style to the individual student.
Do you just help with homework?
Homework can be part of a session, but the goal is broader: identify the concept underneath the assignment, explain why the method works, and make the student more independent on the next problem.
Do you prepare students for the AP Calculus exam?
Yes. Tutoring can include AP-style free-response and multiple-choice work, conceptual review, and targeted practice in areas where the student is losing points.
